Per the order of GOA Plumbly,

We are reinstituting the practice of selecting an Honor Graduate for Boot Camp. The honor graduate will be selected by the Recruit Training Command OIC (1LT.OSOK) from all the candidates that graduate boot camp that week. Selection criteria will include scores/times on the rifle range, Kill House, and the obstacle course, as well as, participation, communication, and attitude.

Each Boot Camp Honor Graduate will receive an Honor Graduate ribbon, as well as being promoted to the rank of Private First Class, instead of Private.
