The project to upgrade our server hardware that started in September of 2012 is almost complete. The servers, named Krazee and Coldblud have been shipped to Gameservers for co-location and should arrive 1 or 2 May 2013.


Once the servers are in place they will be installed by Gameservers technicians.

This will cause some disruption of 7th Cavalry Servers and services, and will

also change all of the server IP addresses. The IMO Department will be using

Twitter to keep everyone updated on the status of the installation once it begins.

Below are some questions that have come from some of our members and the

answers.


Will the URL for the website change?


No, the URL for our website will remain www.7th Cavalry.us


What does this mean to you?


If you have one of our public game servers in your favorites list, that favorite will not work once

the new servers are up and running. You will need to update with the new IP for each server.


Why not post the new IPs?


We would if we had them. Gameservers has not made the new IP addresses available to us yet.


Anything that uses DNS such as the website and Teamspeak will not be affected, you can still use ts3.7thcavalry.us to connect to Teamspeak.


The best source for information will be Twitter and Facebook.
