We are now accepting applications for Delta Company, 2nd Battalion which has been designated as the new BattleField Badcompany2 Company. This will fall under 2nd Battalion until such time as deemed neccessary to stand up a battalion of its own..... So if you are interested in joining the premier military / tactical realism unit! Battlefield 2 Bad Company

This is to inform everyone that Battlefield 2 Bad Company is being seriously considered as a new expansion for the 7th Cavalry. We will have an update by the middle of next week at the latest! Stay tuned!

Fort Hood Shooting

Yesterday, November 5, 2009 a shooting took place on Fort Hood Texas. The home of the 1st Cavalry Division, 7th Cavalry Regiment. A United States Army Major, is accused of shooting and killing 13 and wounding approximately 30 Troops. His motive at last report is still unknown, but is thought to have something to do with his Islamic Beliefs. The shooter was shot 4 times by an armed female civilian security officer assigned to Base Security. The base was locked down for approximately 10 hours while the search for further accomplises was made. Our thoughts and our prayes go out to the wounded, and deceased, their families and those effected by this tragic incident.

Modern Warfare 2 Update and the Cavs stance

Today IW announced that the PC version of MW2 will NOT contain any dedicated server support nor punkbuster. It will be almost an exact port of XBOX360/PS3.

Here is what this means for the 7th Cavalry: We will not be supporting Modern Warfare 2.

With the inability to support Dedicated servers, this means we cannot play under tactical realism. The servers will be gimped just like in XboX360 and such, so enforcement of rules would be impossible, as well as having servers as we currently do.

Infinity ward has effectively canned PC Modernwarfare 2, and many are canceling there pre orders. I would suggest that you probably follow suit.

Sorry to all who were looking forward to this however, it is out of our hands.

TCC League Wins Again!!

The TCC League claims its 9th win today giving them an overall record of 9-3-1. This places them in a solid 4th in the overall league. Placement in the top 5 is required to make the playoffs and with only 4 games left the TCC League team is going strong!! Be sure to offer them your support as these guys are doing an excellent job representing the 7th Cav.

Police Officer and K9 Shot in the line of duty

The following was submitted by Sgt. Rogue a Police officer and friend of the individual named in this story. We here at the 7th Cavalry wish them both a speedy recovery.

On Aug 23 2009 at 2130 a Police officer and his K9 Partner were shot. Zanesville, Ohio Police offers Mike Schiele and K9 Bosco were both shot when Ofc.Schiele was trying the serve a misdemeanor warrant for assault on a suspect. The suspect got away and was caught in Canton, Ohio the next day. The suspect is 18 year old Dominick Conley.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Veterinarians said Thursday that Bosco, the police dog shot in the line of duty, is showing signs of improvement, but they said it is still too early to tell whether he will walk again.
Bosco has been receiving care at the Ohio State University Veterinary Hospital since the shooting Sunday night, 10TV's Maureen Kocot reported.
The 3-year-old Dutch shepherd's human partner, Zanesville police Officer Mike Mike Schiele, was attempting to serve a warrant when gunfire erupted.
Schiele was hit in the leg while Bosco, who had been let loose to attack the gunman, was wounded in the neck.
Bosco's caregivers offered a grim outlook earlier this week, saying he appeared to be paralyzed, with no movement in his front legs and very limited movement in his hind legs.
On Thursday, there was better news regarding the dog's condition.
"On Monday he could just barely move one of his legs and as of today he's moving both of his back legs pretty well," said veterinarian Dr. Amy Butler. "He's starting to move his front legs and he's starting to bear more weight on them, so we're happy with his progress."
Veterinarians believe the dog's spinal cord is still bruised, and they stressed that it is still too early to predict whether or not Bosco will walk again.
Each day, three times a day, Bosco undergoes physical therapy for an hour-and-half. He also gets daily visits from Schiele.
Veterinarians said the dog's appetite is healthy. They even joked that he has been eating like a pig.
"Here we've been feeding him canned food and he loves it," Butler said. "And people are bringing him steak and salmon, all kinds of good treats. He's getting spoiled."
Veterinarians said the next three to six weeks will reveal if the dog will walk again.

Situation: 7th Cavalry forces have secured a forward operating base and are tasked with conducting a movement to contact through the major urban areas of Charnarus in order to establish our presence i n the region. Russian forces have contested our presence i n the region and declared that US forces operation in Charnarus are in violation of international law. As such Russian President Medvedev has alerted his forces and sent a warning to the United States that its aggression will not be tolerated. Russian ground commanders have been given orders to engage any US forces operating in Charnarus.

7th Cav looses A Great Leader, Friend!! COL.Krazee

Gentelmen for the pass week or so i have been looking for our Bother COL.Krazee
Today i made contact with Joe Foster COL.Krazee father. COL.Krazee passed away Aug.22.2009 from Multiple medical problem. COL.krazee under went a double-lung transplant a few years back.
The 7th Cavalry Lost a great Leader and Brother on Aug.22 He will be missed My all the 7th Cav.
Please send his family a card in there time of need. That we all cared about our Brother.

TCC League Wins Again

The 7th Cavalry TCC League team wins their 6th in a row! The team defeated the Murder Inc team to extend their winning streak to 6 in a row and take the overall 2nd Place in the ladder! The guys in the team have proven themselves again, and have shown what the 7th Cavalry is all about! Keep up the great work!!!!
