On 22 August 2009, the 7th Cavalry lost a true brother and friend in BG.Krazee. This man was the epitome of the core values of this Regiment, and his dedication was beyond question. Regardless of your rank, BG.Krazee always had time for you, always an ear for your questions, concerns, or if you just needed someone to talk to. Always willing to help or contribute, there is not a part of this Regiment that has not been touched or effected by this man. He will never be forgotten.

The Regimental Commander of the 7th Cavalry Regiment takes the pleasure in presenting the Brigadier General Krazee Lifetime Achievement Medal to Major General Chance, J.T. for steadfast loyalty and dedication, exceptionally meritorious and distinguished service, and above all a commitment to the very spirit of the 7th Cavalry Regiment since 14 December 2008. As Chief of Staff, Major General Chance’s vision, stellar leadership, and precise execution of his duties have been key to the success of the Regiment ensuring a high level of performance by both staff departments and combat units alike. While continuing to excel in his traditional duties as Chief of Staff, Major General Chance strategic vision and leadership became a catalyst for the Regimental Command reorganization and the subsequent expansion of leadership roles and responsibilities within the Regiment which have proven to be a great success. Major General Chance continues to performed numerous services outside his scope of responsibility for the 7th Cavalry Regiment and in all far exceeded the expectations of his superiors, peers and subordinates alike. Major General Chance is the right hand we cannot operate without, the superior we have come to respect and admire, the friend we can count on and trust, and the brother we all love. Major General Chance exemplifies the ideals of Respect, Honor, Integrity, Loyalty, and Service for which this award was established and his service and dedication embodied those of the award’s namesake. The distinctive accomplishments of Major General Chance reflect great credit upon himself and the 7th Cavalry Regiment.
