Posted on behalf of Major Rogers:
Good evening, Delta Company.
It is with a heavy heart that I have to relay this news to all of you. The 7th Cavalry Regiment has decided to sunset its involvement with Battlefield 4. I am sure most of you are at least partially aware of our current situation; the general staff's decision was based on numerous conditions over the course of the last several months and the overall condition of the game itself. To all of you who have stuck with Delta Company/Fox Company over the course of the last 4 years, I thank you and I apologize. We gave it our best shot and did what we could with the tools at hand. We have done better than most thought we would, and survived beyond our worst nightmares. I am immensely proud of what we have become and will always, in my heart, be a member of Delta Company.
We've had a storied history with the Battlefield series, starting with BF3 in late 2011. The call went out for volunteers; the Regiment wanted interested and dedicated troopers to start a new company with EA's latest and greatest iteration of the Battlefield series. In late October, 2011, BF3 was stood up as Foxtrot Company and assigned to 1st Battalion. I was among those starry-eyed volunteers. Major Fox was there, too, and so was Death. It was a drastic change of pace from my old game, Black Ops, but it was great. Fox Company spent the following year growing and adding personnel, but it became clear that our method of play didn't jive with 1st Battalion, so we were transferred to 2nd Battalion in June 2012 and was re-designated as Delta Company. It was here we made our mark, and over the course of the next three years we continued growing, adding people to other Departments in the 7th Cav, from S3 to RTC to RRD and S1. In fact, you will find an example of what Delta Company has accomplished during our tenure below.

With all this being said, I can say I am very proud of every past and present member that was involved in the making and growing of BF3 & BF4. There were bumps along the way and we took our lumps, but this has always been a very solid group that kept the command staff on their toes. You are all amazing people and it has been an honor to have shared this experience with you. Per COL Walusiak, we are free to transfer to any game we wish or discharge/retire without any complications or hard feelings, as was the case with Black Ops and CoD4.
If you so choose, I am asking everyone from 1BN to 2BN to come out and support Delta Company's sunset by playing on the server from now until August 11, 2015, when we turn the lights off for good. Never fear: vanilla maps will be loaded, so all who do not have the DLC can play.
I would like to say "thank you: to all who supported us during this time and letting us provide our contributions to both Battalions.

The Ranger Creed
Recognizing that I volunteered as a Ranger, fully knowing the hazards of my chosen profession, I will always endeavor to uphold the prestige, honor, and high esprit de corps of my Ranger Regiment.
Acknowledging the fact that a Ranger is a more elite soldier, who arrives at the cutting edge of battle by land, sea, or air, I accept the fact that as a Ranger, my country expects me to move further, faster, and fight harder than any other soldier.
Never shall I fail my comrades. I will always keep myself mentally alert, physically strong, and morally straight, and I will shoulder more than my share of the task, whatever it may be, one hundred percent and then some.
Gallantly will I show the world that I am a specially selected and well trained soldier. My courtesy to superior officers, neatness of dress, and care of equipment shall set the example for others to follow.
Energetically will I meet the enemies of my country. I shall defeat them on the field of battle, for I am better trained and will fight with all my might. Surrender is not a Ranger word. I will never leave a fallen comrade to fall into the hands of the enemy and under no circumstances will I ever embarrass my country.
Readily will I display the intestinal fortitude required to fight on to the Ranger objective and complete the mission, though I be the lone survivor.
Rangers Lead The Way!
Effective with this posting the following individuals have completed the requirements set forth by the 7th Cavalry, Non-Commissioned Officer Academy. They have applied themselves and showed dedication to furthering their position within the 7th Cavalry. Please join me in congratulating our new graduates.
